Bexley backs 16-days of Activism 2021!
The 16 Days of Activism against Gender-based Violence is an international campaign to challenge violence against women and girls. The annual campaign runs from 25 November (the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women), to 10 December (Human Rights Day).
DAY is a one-hour weekly course that aims to educate young people about abusive relationships and how to identify what is a healthy relationship.
Led by a fully trained facilitator, the 10-week programme provides a safe space for young people to talk and share experiences. Through watching videos, listening to music, and other interactive methods the groups explore hurtful behaviours and how to deal with them.
The sessions are suitable for anyone between 14 and 24 years of age and are available at five locations across the borough.
