Domestic abuse, sexual violence and violence against women and girls (VAWG) training is available to all professionals.

Domestic Abuse Dynamics, Risk Identification & Assessment (DASH)

A two-day, level 3 training course that covers different types of abuse, stalking & harassment, routine enquiry, Johnsons Typology, DASH risk assessment, MARAC (multi agency risk assessment conference) and safety planning.

**Please note that this is a 2-day course and you should be available to attend both days of the training.**

Introduction to MARAC (1 hour) NEW DATES ADDED!

Level 1 webinar training for participants to understand how to make a comprehensive referral to MARAC, identify what cases should be referred, how to use professional judgement to escalate cases to MARAC, what happens at the MARAC meeting and how to be prepared for the meetings.

Sessions are held monthly!

Stalking & Harassment (3 hours)

A level 2 comprehensive webinar workshop that will explore how to identify stalking behaviours, the impact of stalking and harassment on victims and best practice around reporting and recording of incidents. Delegates will be able to identify different types of stalkers. They will also explore the different legislation in the law and the protection available for victims.

Honour Based Abuse, Forced Marriage and FGM (3 hours)

A 3 hour workshop to explore the indicators of HBA, recognising and supporting victims. How to ensure an effective multi agency response and the current legislation around HBA, FM and FGM. Delegates will explore the practice around harmful practices.

Civil & criminal order in relation to domestic abuse (3 hours)

A level 3 webinar in which participants will understand the court process in relation to domestic abuse and learn the remedies available for those who do not wish to follow a criminal justice route. The session will focus on non molestation orders, occupation orders, prohibited steps order, domestic violence protection orders and understand the process of applying for them. This will also include Stalking Protection Orders and criminal procedures.

Domestic abuse & Covid-19 (45 minutes)

Level 1 webinar training for professionals to understand the impact that Covid-19 has had on domestic abuse. This training will focus on how to identify, recognise and engage with potential victims and provide support.
